Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, Book 1)
I liked this quite a lot. However, I'm not sure what that says about me as a person. As Gin admits in the first sentence: "My name is Gin and I kill people." That she does (lots actually, and bloody too) but what's more is that she's likeable. Good action, suspense and tension between the various characters with a good cliffhanger and room to grow.
