I'll give this 3.5 stars. A vast improvement from book 2, "Torment" which was tormenting to read. What the previous novel lacked, this one made up for quickly as a time traveling historical romance. Luce travels back in time, trying to fix her ill fated love. The writing style is still problematic for me, but Kate does well with the historical aspect of the novel - seems to tie up a few loose ends and opens up a new can of worms with the entrance of none other than THE LUCIFER and an intriguing premise for book 4, "Rapture" in 2012.
